Every call, text, chat and email answered, and every callback kept.
Telamate is a front desk for a small business that runs on your own server. It answers customers on web chat, SMS, phone calls and email, keeps one record per person whichever channel they used, and turns “can someone call me back tomorrow?” into a callback on a queue your staff work through.

Staff can step in

The inbox
One thread per person across channels, with the open callback pinned at the top and staff replies going out on the customer's own channel.

Connect your channels
- Web chat. One script tag on any page of your site.
- SMS and voice. Point your Twilio number's webhooks at Telamate. On calls, the assistant answers, listens and replies turn by turn.
- Email. Have your mail relay post inbound mail to Telamate with a shared secret.
- The All Dash. Callbacks, conversations, contacts and daily counts appear on your All Dash board.
The assistant, your choice
Telamate runs on Claude, any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, or a local model through Ollama, chosen by which key you set. With no key at all it still runs, answering from your knowledge base and the callback parser alone. Model and Twilio usage are billed by those providers to your own accounts.
Install
One container, SQLite by default. Unzip the download, copy .env.example to .env, and run docker compose up --build. Load thirty days of demo data with TELAMATE_SEED=1 to look around first. Once you set a public URL so Twilio and the chat widget can reach it, Telamate won't start until its admin token and webhook secret are set, so a live front desk is never left open.
Telamate is made by Merit AC. Every use needs a license, covered in our terms. Questions: contact us.
